According to White House spokesman,Robert Gibbs,Iran claims it is just nonsense and mere formality.Iran looks just close all the media information about the demonstration of Egypt to its people.This is evident with no slot several TV stations that broadcast in Iran,turmoil in Egypt.
Gibbs believes Iran fear will trigger a movement of the Egyptian revolution of the opposition and the people who are not satisfied with Ahmadinejad's government.
On Wednesday,the Iranian government threatened to crush every step of the opposition demanding a change.In fact,did not look any movement of groups opposed to Ahmadinejad.
"We definitely will see them as enemies of the revolution and a spy, and we will confront them with force,"said the commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards,on Wednesday,February 9,2011,as quoted by news agency IRNA.
This statement,says Gibbs is strong evidence of Iran's fear of contagious effect of the Egyptian revolution.
"They (Iran) fear.That's why they threatened to kill all who do this.That is why they shut down all lines of communication regarding this matter,"Gibbs said as quoted from page Haaretz,Saturday,February 12,2011.
Striking at demonstrators who oppose re-election of Ahmadinejad in the 2009 election ever conducted by the Revolutionary Guards.The Iranian government reported that 30 were killed in action,but the opposition said the number killed to 80 people.
Related to this,Gibbs called on Ahmadinejad's government to change and to uphold the rights of its citizens in the expression and assembly,just like in Egypt.
"The Iranian government must provide opportunities for their people in the assembly and demonstrations,and convey their wishes,such as in Egypt,"said Gibbs.
